You against you

It’s your head telling you the bar is too heavy against your muscles straining to lift it.

It’s your body screaming for a break while your head tries to keep pushing you to the next level.

It’s your groggy, bleary eyed self trying to sabotage your awake, rearing to go, get a good workout in self.

It’s the new you crushing the times and PRs of the old you.

You are your biggest celebrator and worst critic.

You have to choose which you will do. Will you celebrate what you have accomplished? Or will you chastise yourself for not being where you want to be already? Will you walk tall and proud? Or will you make excuses?
